Panels

The message members press to open a ticket, built in three parts.

The message

A title, some text and a colour, shown as an embed in the channel you pick. A preview next to the form shows exactly what members will see, so you are not publishing and hoping.

Buttons or a dropdown

Each button is one kind of ticket: support, a report, an application. Discord fits up to 25 buttons on a message; a dropdown holds up to 25 options when you have more.

Each one can open in its own Discord category, or with no category at the top of your channel list.

Inside the ticket

The staff roles that are let in and pinged, and the first message in the new channel. Each kind of ticket gets its own roles, so the people who handle applications need not see reports.

Questions before it opens

In a dropdown, each option can ask questions in a Discord pop-up before the channel opens. The answers are posted at the top of the ticket and shown on the dashboard, which saves the first few messages of every conversation.

Editing a published panel

Editing a published panel updates the message in place, so links to it keep working.
